gas sloshing out top of my tanks - what to do?

i have a cub tank ztr with a fuel tank on both sides... i fill them to a couple of inches to the top, tighten the lids down good and tight, and it seems an awful lot of fuel is sloshing out the top from under the lid...

i've examined the caps and it doesn't look as if there're any gaskets missing... but i can't be sure... you know... my grampa always said... ONLY FOOLS ARE POSITIVE

and in these days, every drop of gas is like a gold nugget i don't need to waste a bit of it!

any fixes?

I know that in the motocross world, I have seen some type of baffles that are placed in the tank for that purpose. I don't have a link right off hand, but should be pretty easy to find.
