Gator 4x2 - headlights not working

I just picked up a used John Deere Gator 4x2 yesterday. Everything works except the headlights. I purchased two bulbs at the local JD dealer today but that is not the problem. It doesn't seem like it is getting power to the headlight switch. I don't even have a manual yet for it so I am unsure if there are any fuses etc. that I should be looking at.

On the HPX, power flows from the battery through a 15 amp fuse to a set of contacts on the ignition switch, then to the headlight switch, then to headlights. I don't know if your machine is wired similarly. Check to see if you're getting juice to the headlight switch with the key on. Also, look for a PM I sent you.

If it's like my Turf, then the power comes out of the ignition switch, then goes to the headlight switch. Do you have a volt meter?

I have a volt meter. The headlight switch does not appear to have power. The power dump works and I think that must feed off the headlight switch then to, correct? The wiring looks to be intact. I though maybe there was as fuse somewhere but maybe not. I will look at the ignition switch then.

Found the problem. I bought some batteries for my multitester and checked for 12 volts again at the switch. There was power to the switch but not from it. When I jumped the plug for the switch both headlights worked

Problem solved. I guess I will be visiting the local JD dealer on Monday for a new headlight switch.
