I have a 2004 gator 620i with ~150 hrs. A few weeks ago I was dumping a load of dirt (hydraulic dump) by backing into an uneven area. It apparently temporarily twisted the frame. The fuel pump (I found out later) started making a loud humming noise. If I turn on the ignition without starting it makes the noise for a few seconds then stops. I called the JD shop & he didn't seem too concerned, but said I should get a spare fuel pump just in case. I got the shop manual (on CD) but it says nothing about this problem or how to replace the fuel pump. Any ideas on why this happened & should I replace the fuel pump?
