This may be a stupid question....are the Gator blades worth re-sharpening ? Wait...better question...CAN the Gator blades be re-sharpened ? They are sorta serrated, and I didnt know if it was a problem sharpening them. I cant remember what I paid for the set, but it might be worth saving the trouble and just buying a new set.

Oh...I have a 72" 914A MMM (in case it matters). Thanks fellas :D

Yes you can resharpen Gator blades BUT you dont sharpen the serrated part - that is the upper part of the blade on the other end of the sharp end..

I sharpen mine just like a normal blade...but as Brian said, don't sharpen the fins.

Perfect...now, do you guys who sharpen your own blades bring the bevel to a semi-sharp edge...or leave a slight land on the leading edge ?

i try to bring it to a semi-sharp edge..

FWIW - I use an angle grinder with a flap disc so it dont take too much metal off
