:duh: Now I remember...

OK, I just realised that you. Frank, are the guy with the randomly gyrating multi-meters (which all 'fail' at the first time of asking) and no residual knowledge of experience from trying to operate with Volts v Amps v Ohms - and who never answers the questions asked, in attempt to diagnose self-imposed non-existent problems.

I'm unsubscribing from this thread on the basis of your past record of success at ignoring Ohm's Law, and all advice freely offered. :grumpy:

PS. 212F ( =100C) yes, water boils at 100C but you will see 'vapour' at 99C. That you are seeing 'steam' is incorrect. as "Steam" is invisible. Vapour is visible, but isn't Steam.. Just saying. :2cents: AND the reason you have a 13lb 'Pressure Cap" is to raise the boiling point of the liquid inside the cooling system. So at 212F/100C the fluid in the radiator is far from boiling.
You can Google this phenomenon if you are unclear.
