Gator XUV (2007) Engine Idle Noise

My 2007 Gator XUV (GAS engine) seems to have excessive lifter tick or transaxle noise at idle. Is this common to the XUVs? I only have 20 hours on the machine.

I did a quick search through JD and I didn't find anything on your problem. If it is something you have just recently noticed I would take it to our dealer to let them have a look at it. I can't remember hearing any noise like you describing on a new one.

I would say that isn't normal. Mine has 30+ hours on it and is still as quiet as when I got it. You may want to take it back to the dealer and have them check it out.

Does it have a kawasaki gas engine... abour 23 hp ? Some of these were adding gasoline to the oil. Keep a close check on this. I know of one they bought back.. out of warranty. I have the diesel yanmar in my 4110 and it performs flawlessly.
