Has anyone made there own hard top for a xuv.

I didn't want the full cab, just a top for those hot summer days. I thought about a hard top but the soft top from Deere was only $79. On and off easy and quick, had it out in a near blizzard and it never flapped or moved. Good deal.

I ended up buying the Deere poly roof for the HPX. Had thought of doing a full cab for snow plowing, but that got expensive quickly. The first storm after putting the top on, I found myself plowing snow/slush in some moderately heavy rain. The Deere top extends out to the sides enough to keep you reasonably dry. I am very pleased with it.

I'm now thinking of building my own extended visor out of plexiglas to keep the rain further forward without going to a full windshield that would require a wiper and heater, etc.

I suppose you could build a great redneck-style top using just a piece of plywood....

My thought: I have A Artic Cat prowler and have wondered how to make a "red neck top" too. Often I see one of these poly bed liners fly out of a pick up and just lay along the side of the road for days. Was thinking about grabbing one of those. Wonder how that would work?

Jack I looked for the soft top on the Deere website and con't find it. Do you ha part number by any chance?

Hi, I just read your note, sorry for the delay, the box says John Deere LP93127 OPS Soft Roof. I bought from my JD dealer, he had a lot of them in stock. Installs easily, took about 10 minutes, no tools needed. jack
