I replaced my old rear blade with an 8ft Frontier and decided to build some better gauge wheels than my old skid shoe method. They are not adjustable but I could add spacers if needed to lower them down but so far they seem to be in the right spot. Adjusting the top link can move them up and down enough to go from digging in a couple inches to keeping the blade about an inch off the surface for plowing snow. The wheels came off of a two point sickle mower.

Some of my design rules were:
1. inboard far enough so they track behind the blade when at a 45 degree angle
2. allow the blade to swivel all the way around
3. wheels need to be able to swivel 360
4. bolt on with no welding directly on the blade

Here are the build pictures...

some of the welds are a bit rough because it was trial and error fitting the angles together with the square tubing

They also work in reverse.

Well you bought the wrong color of paint for the project :) Other than that it sure looks like a nice set up. Heavy duty it seems also. Congrats on the project.
