Does anyone know if the is a left and right bracket for the steering cylinder? I noticed the metal is rounded as opposed to flattened on one side. Both brackets have same part number but the right side of the bracket will not sit as flush as the left. This is my third time replacing these but the first time I noticed. I included a picture of the parts bag. Thanks

From the packaging, the part numbers are identical. I notice an LF on both packages also. This could mean left. Is their a left and a right in which the part numbers are the same and the righat has a designation of RT? I think it is highly possible, but can't say for sure. I think if I were you in this situation, I would call the dealer and ask for parts and service. They could look it up in the computer and tell you for sure. One quick question, do yoh have a loader on you tractor and do yoh use it alot. If this is your 3rd replacement, just trying to understand why your having so much trouble.

I believe the "LF" refers to a tractor series identification, but not sure.... seems like I remember that from my BH parts.

My parts book shows the same part (#11) and M-F part number for both, the same number you have on your packages, 4265072M1. From that, I'd have to assume they're interchangeable.

The way you describe the pieces-- sounds like that's just a function of the piece having been stamp-cut out of a sheet with a die-cut process, which would leave the edges somewhat rounded on one side and rather sharp on the other.

These brackets and steering cylinder combo are a very bad design. My cylinder has been flopping around between the two brackets for a while. After about 5 years the cylinder started to leak from the rod/ shaft seal to where I had to replace the seals.( with excellent results) but these attachment brackets are now the problem. I had to remove them and pound them flat again and then re-installed them . I will try to replace with a new set as soon as I can get them.
