GC 2300 Under seat opening cover??

Because of having a heated cab in winter and not really being able to stop all the cold air from comming in from under the seat,just by using foam and carpet,& tarp.I decided to make a permanent solution.I used cereal boxes to make a pattern to close in the area.The I had a old washing machine that I cut out some metal from,.I then traced the pattern onto the metal cut it out with a jig saw with a metal blade bent the metal where needed ,used sickle mower rivets in the spots that needed to be fixed together.Once it was all shaped to fit I cut automotive weather stripping to fit made sure it all fit like it was supposed tnce it was done took all the weather stripping off painted the metal installed the weather stripping and set it into place.I had to make a raised area where the fuel tank sending unit is.I did this buy using a big pipe and banging the plate from the underside creating the raised portion.All in all it fits like a glove and now it's all sealed up under the seat and it's removable once you unbolt the seat.Larry

Very Nice and transparent job. At some point I'll attempt to seal up all the floor openings included around the seat as well. For comparison and information purposes I'll post a photo I have showing, vaguely, the method "Laurin Cabs" employs for the GC2600 to seal the seat area. Looks like combo of vinyl and snaps.

My cousin has the Kubota BX 1800 with a curtis cab and they use a similar thing.They use a velcro piece all around the fenders etc: and the vinyl piece goes on that way.I kinda wanted a solid piece under the seat rails so this way I can still move the seat back and forth.This way it stays in place all year round,plus keeps leaves ,twigs from falling and building up in all the places where it does. When I was comparing SCUTs I was set on the BX25 until I came accross your video on youtube. As soon as I saw it I decided on the GC2410 and at some point I want to have the cab and snowthrower setup like yours.

Cool, nice to see I inadvertently was able to correctly steer your decision making process. I purchased the GC2600 without backhoe but just installed the woods BH6000 a month or so ago and love the setup (I had to wait a few weeks for the sub-frame kit to be engineered and manufactured as I recieved Woods very first sub-frame kit for the 2600) . Getting the blower from the start put the TLB out of reach (or so I convinced myself) at the time of purchase.
