MF GC2310
I have a couple of questions about the 3-point hitch on my tractor. It is new to me and I wanted to use a box blade on it but found that I was missing the the two lower links. I picked them up at the dealer today and looked at how they were installed on a GC2600 that was on the lot. My question is should both links have a slight bend in them. The ones I got from the dealer were different than those on the 2600. The leveling link has a slight bend on the lower screw but none on the upper. The solid link is absolutely straight. All of the ones on the 2600 were slightly bent. Could any one who has a 2310 let me know what they should look like.

My second question is on the operation of the 3 point hitch. I was told by the previous owner that he had never used the three point hitch so I am assuming that it has not been used since 2008 when purchased. The hitch went down when I lowered the lever but it will not raise up at all. I have fully opened the speed control but it does not seem to do anything. The hitch moves freely by hand. I thought perhaps that the hydraulic fluid may be low but it is about 3/4 of the viewing glass. Any suggestions on things I can try before I take it to the dealer.

Thanks in advance

The hoses on the back of the tractor that go to the BH, 2 of them have to be connected together for the 3PH to work. Use the color code tywraps to determine the connection. Everything will work better since the hyd. pump is not in bypass. The connection is for the power beyond circuit.

I connected the hoses as suggested and it works, I was hopping for something simple. In the picture from Chooglin is the plate also removed between the BH brackets?

Thanks for your help.

Here are some more pics of the 2310 3PH, hope they help you visualize how the parts hook up. I'm guessing that you got the hoses hooked up OK.

Just be sure that the hoses don't get pinched when the 3PH arms are lowered... (don't ask how I know that!:ashamed:)

Thanks, the pictures are a big help. I re-routed the hoses because I pictured a pinched hose when I hooked them up and raised and lowered the hitch.

Thanks, to all who replied.

My buddy said he is looking into putting the quick couplers into the rear panel to eliminate the hoses being caught when the B/H is off. I like that idea.

In 6 years of hearing that idea, so far no one has shown they have found the room to do it. :confused3:

I'd love to see that too, as it's a bit awkward to hook up a hose when both ends are hanging in the air!

I don't take my BH off often but I added a hook on the left side looking from the back that I put the coupled hose around and the extra hose over to keep the hoses from hanging and it works fine when I have the BH off. I believe I posted it a year or two ago what I did.
