My tractor has 370 hours now, the cradle bolt that holds front axle on where it pivots, is sloppy and my collar on hydraulic cylinder on the backhoe is rubbing and wearing into boom when it is fully retracted. Looks like vibration is causing this. Any suggestions? plowking

Check your manual for the pivot. I know the on the larger models, the manual tell about the adjustment for it. I would have to see a picture of the backhoe problem before I could suggest anything about it.

Thank You, Jerry G. I'll read the manual, the bolt has a cotter nut with cotter pin thru it, like on wheel bearings. I let you now what I find. plowking

I have more than one shop manual but I don't know exactly how the GCs adjust. If your owners manual doesn't show how to do it, if you can post a picture of the front axle at the nut, maybe I will have something.

Quote from the book of MF: "Tighten the castle nut on the pivot pin to standard torque value and then rotate the nut counter clockwise 60 degrees (one flat) and insert the cotter pin."
I guess it would have been a bother for them to tell us what standard torque value is in this case. So now all you have to do is find out what size and grade the bolt is, and then find the chart, and find the corresponding value on the chart and then you can set it to factory specs.
The bolt is fairly large aprox. 5/8" (likely metric though), 150-200 lbs. torque is the middle of the chart for this size.
SHORT CUT: Tighten the nut very snugly and back it off 1 flat of the nut, install cotter pin.

Thank You, ray66v. I tried what you suggested, tighten nut until the play was almost gone. I raised tractor to make sure not too tight to cause binding, seems ok. The dealer wasn't aware of any adjustments, thought I had loose mounting bolts in frame, didn't find any. The rattle on backhoe boom is the piston collar rattling inside boom, if I center the pin with spacers or washers, it should be fine. Thank You again! plowking
