I have a GC2410 TLB with about 180 hrs on it. Original owner bought it in 2009. Recently the tractor is making a high pitch wine after using the front bucket or back hoe even the mower and bagger. Hard to figure where its coming from, but the hydraulic lines feel like they are extra hard and vibrate like it coming from the hydraulic system. . Checked the hydraulic oil and it's good in the sight glass, but added a little just to be safe. Oil and water are good also. Also feels like it lost a little of lift and power in the front bucket. Strange thing is it does not do the wine right away, usually after working it and it warms up. Engine not running hot. The one thing that happen was , I had the front bucket on with the mower and bagger system. I had to move some dirt, when i was movilng the dirt with the bucket the bagger kinda bottomed out, this caused a the hose clamp just under where you ad hydraulic oil to come loose and drip some hydraulic oil. I tightend it and no more leak. The noise is high and sounds and feels like it is working extra hard . Any ideas where to start. Ray in Seattle......

Check your hoses that feed the backhoe. Sounds like they aren't hooked back into each other or one isnt opening all the way causing your hydraulic pump to bypass. That would make it work hard and the lines to vibrate. My first thought anyway.

Mine makes a "wine" noise when the parking brake is on

The hoses are all connected in the right order, parking brake is off but kind of similar noise, also this noise happens when I am in the higher rpm range mark working it, when I throttle down, noise goes down.

You are the second owner. What hydraulic oil was used for the 50 hour service?

Some have complained of more 'hydraulic whine' with some brands of hydraulic oil other than Permatran. There have also been complaints of hydraulics not working correctly with some other oils also.

I am the original owner , massey dealer did 50 hr service, believe permatran was used. Noise high pitch wine or squeal started recently.

Hose mis match ? Sounds like your relieve valve is causing the noise, which could be caused by hoses not hooked up correctly.

Sorry bout that, I apparently misread the second sentence in the first post.

MFRED's post could be your problem since the correct oil was used. The balls in one of your 'quick disconnects' could be sticking.

I have the front bucket mid mount mower and the bagger on , it starts to squeal and wine after the mower and bagger are put into use also, hoses are correct, but I will clean them and make sure ball is clean and Connections are tight, will post results Thanks Ray.

Does it "wine" like a power steering pump on a automobile that is low on fluid? If so there is a restriction somewhere.
