I had a credit at the dealer and wanted a 48" grader box. The one they suggested was only 280lbs and I was thinking I wanted a little more heft (they may of wanted a little more profit margin). I ended getting the BushHog SBX box, weighs in at around 430lbs. I can say pulling up a grade is a bit of a stretch, but I use a bucket to move dirt up hill.
With the weight of this thing it really works well at grading, and when you hit a root with a shank you pull through it with all that momentum. The compactness of the finished grading is more than I could of ever hoped for. One lesson learned: small changes on your center-link really change the dynamics of the grade/dig. I'm in the process of adding top-n-tilt 3rd spool which will really make this a fun little attachment.
This tractor just keeps impressing me, 46hrs in 2 months of ownership, no problems (besides a leaking fitting covered under warranty). And all those hours are either stump digging/pulling, or heavy bucket earth moving use.
For info I do have beet juice filled rear tires (150ish lbs), plus a 130lb weight on the mid mount arms.
