Greetings,

Manual says that one of the two ways to drain the mmm gear box for gear oil change . . is to remove 4 bolts (manual shows a little diagram).

And I thought that wss a good idea so I took the 4 bolts out. The gear box is now a little loose but I see no way to remove it and the manual implied nothing else was required to be done. Any ideas :

1. Obviously I don't have the mmm on the machine.

2. Obviously I can see the gear box can be shifted back and forth an 1/8 of an inch (at most) . . Which when those bolts are in . . . it cannot . . So taking bolts out has slightly loosened it.

3. But . . . it can't be spun at all and trying to lift it up seems to not be happening at all.

4. Manual indicates nothing other than removing those bolts.

P.S. The manual also indicates that after removing gear oil and installing fresh . . that sealant should be used on both the fill and drain bolts. However it doesn't say what kind of sealant . . . teflon tape or some liquid type or ??????

Don't know about removing it, I just stood mine on end to drain it. I used Teflon tape to seal the plugs when I was done.
