GC1705 Front Tire Seal

I have a problem with my right front tire. Every now and then it would be flat when I went to use it, since the tractor was about 6 months old. It's now just over a year old (124 hours) and the outer tire bead will not seal. This is the first time it's leaked enough to see bubbles appear on the seal but even when aired up twice the normal amount it will not seal. It's not dirty and the weather is in the 60's so it can't be due to cold weather.

Any suggestions how to get a good seal so it will stay up? Anyone ever had this problem?

Try some bead sealer, available at auto supply stores.

I had a problem like that with my GC2400. I just put a tube in it, no more problem.

Bought a can of bead seal this afternoon and brushed it on this evening. Worked like a charm! As difficult as it was to push the tire back far enough to apply the sealer, there is no way I'd be trying to install a tube and not pinch it. If the sealer does not turn out to be a long term solution I'll be searching out a tire shop.

I had the same problem on my new 1710. I had to soap it up and put 80 psi into it and then whacked the side wall with a big rubber mallet till all the bubbles stopped. Re aired it to 20 psi and haven't had any more problems. I don't really recommend doing it this way but I needed the tractor and had no choice.
