The picture is of the left side, where the piston rod meets the inner toggle end.
On the right side the piston rod is the same diameter to the brass part of the toggle end, the left side has step down in the diameter that meets the brass part.

Before I fix something that isn't broken, does that look correct?...Nothing is loose, everything seems fine when steering...just wondering if the toggle end pulled away, or it's something I never noticed before. (I just pulled the rubber boot away to check it out and take the pic.)

I just checked the parts book - it is manufactured that way, with the step down. I suspect it is for ease of identifying orientation during manufacture. 6251773M91
