I seem to have a leak at the lines on the front end loader where they are connected together. That area shows signs of leakage and dirty lines.

Has anyone had this issue?

Yep, they leak a little oil every time I disconnect. I use brake cleaner to clean.

Leaks are pretty common. Try tightening the connection, but you may end up replacing hydraulic lines. Mine's an older model, but I've changed three lines, I think, on mine. Seems OEM hydraulic lines (at least on mine) were not of superior quality. I also had to tighten a few connections.

On mine, the connections mounted on the loader of the machine, were OK, but the hose end fittings were only hand tight.

When I went to tighten them up, I made the mistake of raising the loader to get the arm out of the way. Then I realized that I still couldn't get a good purchase on the hose end to tighten them the way I wanted, so I just disconnected them and tightened them up.

When I went to re-install the hoses, I found that one would not go on. Long story short, the system had such a hydraulic load on the hoses because the bucket was up that one hose would not reconnect. I ended up putting upward pressure on the bucket with a floor jack to release the pressure (moved about an inch). Then the hose went right on.

I've had my gc 1705 for a year and just finished my 50 hr service. I called my dealer because I couldn't get my loader fittings to stop leaking. They sent someone out to tighten them up. He said it's fairly common. The one lower inside fitting is hard to get at even with the loader off. Needs a special wrench. Everything else has been great.

Ok thanks for the info I will check it out.

Here's another plus one...at fifty hours almost exactly, I developed a leak/drip at the hydro manifold where the loader lines connect to my GC1720. I popped the loader off the cradle to give myself some room and tightened all of those connections. As was stated they were essentially only hand-tight and 50 hours of vibration allowed some fluid to escape.

Part of the service intervals includes checking those fittings.

my quick connectors have leaked from day one. 5 or 6 trips to dealer under warranty did not solve problem. I just pressure wash it every now and then when it gets really nasty.

will probably fix it someday.
