Well, I have operated orange with grace, gamed in the mud with green, barreled through the parking lot on blue, but in the end decided to ride with Red. /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

I will probably take the home test drive to be certain but the Massey has the best combination of features I am looking for to keep up my 6 acres. I plan to get a FEL, 54 MMM with mulching kit and weighted wheels. I may also snag the 3 point meteor snowblower while it is on sale (20% off). I decided against the 2310 because I have a hard time justifying the BH when there is a rental shop 5 miles away that has a daily BH rental of $150.

Congratulations skivt! Now I gotta ask about that MMM. I have the MF2325, which is a 60" deck. Are you sure yours is 54? Also, I'm pretty sure my dealer told me there weren't mulch kits for my mower. Is your kit MF or some other brand? I'd be curious to know specifics if you could post 'em or send me a PM. Thanks. Good luck and have fun with your 2300!

I have some details for you 44trxfun. The 54" is MF2320. It can accept a mulching kit. My dealer tells me that the 60" cannot. What really confuses me is that there is another deck, MF2315, that is in the brochure but no body in the dealership has heard of it. This little number claims to be 54" with 6 mulching blades, 2 per spindle. Hmmmmm?!

How does the MF2325 work?

I acquired my 2300 near the beginning of this past summer. It has the 2325 60" mower and it sure can cut.

I originally started with a rear mower because I felt it would be easier to get off when I wanted to use the FEL and I liked the rear discharge idea. I gave up an old IH LoBoy with an MMM that was pretty open (ie: discharge both sides and some rear). The rear mower was replaced after trying to manuever it around the trees on my property.

The 2325, on the other hand, uses the tunnel concept which concentrates all the grass from that 60" cut to one discharge point. This is ok if you keep your grass mowed often. In my case, this setup is begging for a mulching solution which I haven't found yet. I have looked at Gator mulching blades and figured if I could get a set to fit I could make a door of some type to put over the discharge. Will research that more now that spring is coming. If I could have gotten a 54" with a mulching kit(didn't know they were available), I probably would have gone that route.

One other issue I have with the 2325 is that the direction of the rear wheels are fixed. So if you are making a sharp turn and hit a high spot, (figuring you adjusted the height so the wheels weren't normally touching) it does a nice job of tearing up the turf.

Make no mistake, this is one serious mowin' machine. I also have a rear blade and use it with the FEL to keep the snow off the driveway.

And I am continuing to have a blast with this thing.

I believe the mulching kit blocks the discharge chute and has a baffle that inserts under the deck. The baffle creates a vaccum. I know the JD 2210 has this baffle.

Today is the day. I decided to get the GC2300 with loader, loaded tires, 54" mower with 6 blades and a 60" Rear blade from Woods. I can't wait to take delivery as my old snow blower broke again today.
