Noticed a bit of coolant leaking on the ground. Couldn't see anything so I took the side panels off. Found the end of the throttle cable had punctured the rad hose.

Looks like a bad spot to put radiator hose, I'll have to check my machine, the cable usually has a barb on the end so it isn't sharp . Manufacturer or dealer must have missed it . plowking

Checked mine and found it was almost worn through! Thanks DMW, everyone needs to check this. Bend end of cable at a 90 degree angle.
Also found a minor fuel leak, hose clamp was loose at the "T" just above this area.
Results could be typical.

Thanks for posting DMW. Checked mine. The excess cable was already bent down at a 90 degree angle.

How many hours on unit? Warranty? Might need to mention this to dealer, I'm sure he is already aware, but a mention to him might be in order. Good thing you caught it before your engine overheated and burned up. And thanks for posting here so other members can check their units.

102 hrs, still under warranty (just under 2 years). Called the dealer Monday, going out tomorrow, they had to order the hose. Warranty? not sure yet. Took a closer look at the hose, wire puncture on top, AND starting to wear through from contact from throttle linkage on bottom. Bottom wear point will seep coolant, top hole has a steady stream. Also looked at top hose, could feel a groove worn in it from contact with the air cleaner :(. Looks like I will be installing protective plastic mesh on the new hoses.
Ray66v, thanks for the fuel line tip, my lines were also wet, had to tighten as well.
The tractor had been sitting for over month, noticed a low rad level, topped up with a litre+. Moved it to finally take off the snowblower. Haven't operated it for any length of time above freezing. No garage for it, always parked outside. 50 hour service was at the dealer, so this was the first time I had removed the side panels.
Included another poorly focused shot of hose with holes circled, please accept my apologies for the poor paint shop job ( shoulda got my kid to do it :) )
On the bright side, this was the first time I ever removed the FEL, very easy.

Tightening the clamps did not fix the fuel leak. I had to replace the clamp on the soft line that runs from the "T" and angles down into plastic loom, disappearing under the tractor. (I suspect that it is a return line). The clamps that they used do not apply much pressure, so it punted it. I think I have it fixed now.
Here is the testing procedure I used: Spray the afflicted leak area with ether and blow dry with compressed air until all the fuel is dry. start the engine and run for 30 seconds, and turn off the engine and wait. The fuel will start to "wet" the area again in a few minutes if you did not fix the leak.

All fixed now, dealer had no problems submitting a warranty claim. Pics of holes/wear on old hoses and my new ones with plastic sleeving added for extra protection. Never want to have it happen again! The way the hoses are clamped on seems to affect the clearances.
