The last ones I had to buy were like $12.00 a piece and I about died. I didn't ask the price before I ordered 4 of them. I've posted in the past about the problems I've had with these ripping. I always seem to not see a multi-flora rose when I'm brush hogging. What really needs to happen is someone needs to fabricate "metal" protectors for them. A while back, I was at a used tractor store and saw a large Kobuta, which had metal guards over the rubber boots. The metal guards bolted to the front axle and were long enough to protect the rubber boots over the entire distance while moving side to side. I hope to build these someday when I get my shop finished (and the warranty is expired, as I'm sure Massey won't be happy when I weld "little perches" on the front axle to hold the metal protectors.

G'day measure your ends where the boot goes and the length and go down to your friendly auto parts store and see if you can get some power steering rack boots that might just fit. Good luck

after replacing the boots, slip on a piece of bicycle tubing over the new boot to protect it and use zip tie to hold ends down. If something is gonna rip, I'd prefer the tubing first.

Actually thats a really good idea, let the outer bike rubber tube take the punishment and hopefully save the original boot.I was thinking of a way to make a boot protector.have come up with some ideas in my head but not sure which way to go yet. However to help protect them for now that sounds like it'll give a extra bit of protection untill I design something simple.Once I do I'll post my build in a different thread.Larry:thumbsup:
