GC2310 BH Questions

Recently I've noticed the BH on my 2310 seems to drop quicker when not in use. I removed it from the tractor the other day and overnight the stabilizers lowered the complete unit to the ground. This has never happened before it usually stayed reasonably close to the height it was when I removed it. I have noticed the stabilizer would also need to be readjusted while the BH was on the tractor and in use (potential safety hazard). While on the tractor and the tractor is off the BH will drop bit is quick I can explain the noise but is has a distinct metal clang and you can see the BH drop approximately a half inch. The tractor has 81 hours and is approximately 3 months old. Any Ideas or comments would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

As bad as it may sound, all of those things are normal for all brands. They all experience leaks down. When I take a BH off I always put a bungee cord between the stabilizers.

Thank you I will have to remember to secure something between the stabilizers next time I take it off. Doesn't look like it going to be fun getting it back on.

After you get used to it, it will only take a couple of minutes.

I usually put it back on the same day and it is not a problem but with the BH sitting so low to the ground right now one of the hydraulic hoses may not reach. Also lately the BH does not want to line up correctly last time I had to use a 3 pound hammer to bend the left side of the mounting bracket.. I think the mount is bent or twisted. It used to be a 3 minute job to reattach the BH now it takes 30 minutes a pry bar and 3 pound hammer.

Had similar issues. Hose issue is easy to resolve I had 1 foot hoses made up that I leave connected to the backhoe which makes it easy to take off and put on the BH. Tractor supply has connectors for ~$14 and hose for ~$9. Well worth the investment not to put pressure on the tractor hoses.

I also had similar issus with HB not lining up. Might seem odvious but try a wire brush on the bottom hooks on tractor and on BH. This fixed the issue for me. Hope this helps.

I have not wire brushed where the two meet but always remove any debri that ma be there. Do you happen to have the part numbers of the pieces you ordered. Lengthening The hose will make life alot easier when reinstalling the BH to the tractor. I will probably be told to bring he tractor to a dealer but how do I check if the loader is working to it's maximum capacity. Is there a guage to ensure I am getting the correct hydraulic pressure. Does anyone know where I can get a factory service manual. I like to be self sufficient and work on my own equipment.

I purchased the parts for the hoses from tractor supply co store. You can find generic 1/4" couplers and hose there. If I can find some time to get there over the weekend I will write down numbers for you. Your dealer may also be able to make these up for you. You do not need MF couplers and hoses for this they are very costly generics are much cheaper.

I do not know about the FEL hydro pressure but have read posts on this in the past. Why do you feel you have issues with hydro pressure?

I tried to lift my 48'' box blade and the fel would only lift it about 1/2 way. Don't know the exact weight of the BB but I know I can lift half off the ground and the FEL should be able to lift more than me. It may have been just the angle of the tract and BB however I just want to check and verify everything is ok. I would rather not bring it to dealer as I have no trailer to haul it. I generally work on my own stuff (trucks, fourwheeler, motocyle) just need the manual so I have an idea of what I am up against. With 95 hours on the tractor I am still extremely pleased with it. I think I have now found most vulenerable parts (lights, hydraulic filter, radiator drain) sure I will find more as time goes on. Again it is a great little tractor and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a SCUT.
