My Nimco FEL controller leaks around the shafts connected to the joy stick under frequent use. Anyone know of a rebuild kit or what size seals I would need to replace?
Noticed you had no replies....I have same issues...there are rebuild kits..."o" rings...etc...was not something I wanted to tackle....so I have settled for having Hydraulic fluid drip on my right boot...rebuilding by dealer was outrageous...
There are different Nimco valves that are used. Some may be be expensive to rebuild as they have internal o-rings that cannot easily changed. Most leaks are usually caused by the outer o-rings. If you go to the Agco parts book, enter as a guest to access the parts schematics. Select "Browse Books" in the upper left, brings up a menu, Massey Ferguson/Parts Books/Material Handling/Mounted Loaders/2350 Loader. The oil dripping on your foot is probably from a leaking o-ring on the side opposite the FEL joystick. Replacing the o-rings under the spool return spring caps is a pretty straight forward job. If you can fix a leaking kitchen tap, you should be able to do it.
Thanks for that bit of information DMW. Gives me courage to look into that. My slippery pedal looks to be from a slow drip from the bottom end of the controller. 2005 GC2310
I will definitely look into that....Slippery pedal has been way of life...Massey dealer will order parts....but I am one that does not even fix my own faucet....or set the time on my VCR, etc...
