I want to purchase a rake for my tractor but i'm not sure if i should get a 5ft or a 6ft?.Any brand?I looked at the woods 5ft estate series but it looked a little small.

I believe your tractor would easily pull a 6' rake. The only trouble you might have is traction, but I don't think so. You have plenty of power to move a 6 footer. I have a Woods, it seems pretty decent.

Weight of the implement and the tractor's ability to pull should be fine. What you need to watch out for is clearance. If you get a regular size rake it may not get more than an inch off the ground.

I have the Rear Blade from woods, RBC60. It is the estate series and it works great. It is tough and works well with my 2300. The rake should work well as it is designed for the subcompact tractors.

Depending on what you are doing, the wheels may be a necessity. If you are not sure about needing wheels or not, there are a bunch of posting here on the subject.

good luck,

Clearance will be a problem with the 6' Woods (or any brand) standard size rake. I have the Woods 5' Estate Series rake and I have plenty of clearance with it because the tines are shorter. It works great with my sub-cut (Cub 5234D).

I rake up baseball infields when they are wet to get them to dry out quicker. When the rake fills up with moist dirt it's quite a heavy load load. I can get through it in 4wd and low range (bar tires) but I think doing this kind of job with a 6' rake might be to much. If you are using the rake on dry soil or raking out gravel to smooth a driveway the 6 footer will work but you will probably have the problem with clearance.
