GC2400 trunnion bearing for pedals

   / GC2400 trunnion bearing for pedals #11
changed it last night/today. getting old one out was a pain as the side plate for cruise and implement lift lever upport needs to be removed.
to remove it need to push the roll pins out of range control and 4wd levers.
course there is NO way to put a punch in place and have room to swing even a small ball peen hammer.
didn't have (but am ordering) roll pin tool kit and will use air hammer against end instead of swinging hammer.

so had to do it the hard way. first save your self hassle later unbolt pedal return spring then unbolt plate, cables and links attached to plate, lift "rod" that goes from lever to the actual lift arm.
then had to (course removed clip that holds bearing on directional control shaft) wiggle plate off bearing (was pain but you do have 1/2 inch play from mounts when done) then I could access back side of bearing and with bar/screw driver get it moved out a bit.
then slide plate back over bearing using flat punch tap it back further onto bearing. get under lever bearing out more.
after 2 or 3 times bearing will clear front of plate and come off shaft. just bearing remove this way took me an hour.
cleaned up surfaces and new bearing install with plate slid over and and clip back in took 10 minutes.
rest of bolting back up was straight fwd, just make sure to keep spacer in place on the eccentric for spring return and make sure its pawl is in place on plate before any bolting. I drpped both the spacer and eccentric had to waste 15 minutes messing with that.

pedal now returns to neutral on its own and presses little easier.
What kind of bearing is it? Roller, bronze, etc? All along I thought you were talking about by the pedal but now I see you are at the pump area. I sprayed some penetrating lube in and worked it some and pedal returns faster.

roller bearing.
I have a very little reverse pedal stick still ONLY because I loosened return spring due to needing right knee replacement. very minor and just looking at fwd pedal fixes it LOL

the PEDAL area is bushed, usually just cleaning them helps but yeah this was actual side bearing on frame for rod into actual HST itself.

Thanks Dave. I'm sure it's sealed so I hoping just spraying around the spaces on the shaft it will stay loose. Don't want to go through replacing it. Might just be jammed with crap.

I got tired of spraying it every 4 days or so when doing lot of gravel work.
for the 13$ the part cost was worth it to me.
they are not really sealed, even new ones can see the balls inside a bit.
