If you have a machine shop near by, they could probably make you a new cylinder rod.

checked on the dealer price, $358.00 plus tax, decided to just use a chain and block of wood to undo what a block of wood did in the first place. got it to the point where it is almost straight and doesn't bind any more... think I will just continue to use it that way.

May last for sometime like that or it may put too much presssure on 1 side of the seal and start leaking. I guess you can cross that road when it starts to leak.
