After moving alot of dirt with the front bucket, it started to do a slow drop. Called dealer came out and replaced one of the front bucket hyd arms. Also one of the rear outrigger arms started to do a slight knock . Usually after using back hoe but also does it when tractor is off and arms are in up postion. Dealer put tractor in 3 point postion outrigger arms out and bucket on ground, tires off ground and shut off tractor. Losing pressure, dealer thinks it's the differter valve. Getting back to me on a fix, have 37 hours on it. Seems like a good test to check and make sure you are not loosing hyd pressure . There is a certain amount of drop allowed in a certain amount of time and mine is loosing way to fast. Any other have this problem or and ideas . Thank Ray.....

I have noticed that my loader will slowly drop a load over time, with minimal load on the bucket. Maybe an inch over 15-20 minutes I would guess.

Thanks for making us aware of a potential problem, I will keep an eye out on mine, I hope you get yours resolved if it is not fixed already.

Dealer came out and gave me a loaner tractor, ended up changing all my fluids and said there was a screen near the hydraulic filter that needed to be cleaned. Seems to have fixed the problem. ...........

Wow, rayban- a clogged screen at 37 hrs?? Any further comment on that from the dealer?

I've noticed on my GC2400 the bucket will drop slightly even when it's running...also won't lift a full bucket like my neighbors JD2305 w/CX200 bucket...seems like the pressure relief is set to low.

No other comment from dealer irvingj, like I said seems to have fixed the problem, any one know what screen they are talking about. Said it's next to the hydraulic oil filter....realbiker how many hours on your tractor, my tractor does not have any drop after they seem to have fixed it. I would get it checked out.......

rayban- there's a tube-shaped screen (to collect larger particles/metal shavings?) in the hydraulic system.... it's part of the normal 50-hr service to pull it, clean it, and replace it.

It's accessed by removing the right rear wheel. It sits low on the side of the transmission, and IFIC, the bolt head/plug is plastic. You can see it with the wheel on, but it's so long --about 10"-- that the wheel has to be removed to get it all the way out.

When I did my 50-hr service, the screen had only a few small pieces of metal in it.

Mine has about 24 hours on it...I had a GC2300 that did the same thing and the dealer told me that's just how they are...seemed odd that the John Deere would lift more and even has a larger bucket.

Oh, yeah, rayban-- mine drops, too-- never thought it was other than "normal"-- over 3-4 days, it will drop to the floor if it started up a foot & a half or so.
