Have about 75 hours on my tractor, noticed the fuel guage is acting up. Sometimes it right on then it says empty. Any ideas? any other have this problem, getting ready to call dealer. Thanks Ray......

fuel gauge is a poor setup, seems like once it gets to about a half tank, even the slightest deviation from level the guage will drop quite a bit.

good thing these machines run so long on so little fuel:D

On my GC 2300, depends on if you are going uphill or downhill, leaning left or right, gage is very sensitive, take off the filler cap to really see what is going on, or keep filling it up!

I just put in 5 gal every 10 hrs tach time since it uses 1 gal every 2 hrs. At least that is what mine works out to. When it gets low the gauge on mine can be all over the place since I am working on uneven ground.

Mine seems like it might be a float problem or maybe loose connection somewhere. I filled my tank up and it did not register at all. Drove it around and when i looked at guage it read full. Also when I turn key on sometimes it does not register at all and other times it does, same thing happens when it is running.....

Lift rhe seat and make sure the wires are secure, they are on top of the tank.

Has the fuel guage been funky since new? Maybe the float is catching on the side of the tank? I've seen new tractors that neede the sending unit turned a hole or the linkage tweaked a bit to avoid this.

Hmm, I'll check out the float and wires on my machine when I get a chance. My fuel gage needle has always shown Full even when it's been half empty, the lowest I've let it go.

Let us know what you find. I know when full, they take a little while to drop.

My fuel gage stopped working a few hours after I got my 2410. It showed full no matter how much fuel was used. It really didn't bother me b/c it was more of a luxury (the fuel gage in all previous tractors was opening the cap and looking in), but I had it repaired before the warranty was up. Not exactly sure what the problem was, but it works now.
