I just purchased a used GC2610 with loader and backhoe, 96 hours on the meter. I have been using both the loader and backhoe and everything works great. The previous owner never took the hoe off but today I did and I am having trouble with the raise/lower on the 3pt hitch. The three hoses on the tractor are tie wrapped with red, yellow and blue. The red hose which has a female coupling connects at the back of the tractor, just below the 3pt pivot shaft. The blue and yellow hoses both have male fittings and head further forward on the tractor. The manual is useless and doesn't give any clues (color or connection location) on how to identify which hose is which, and specifically which is the sump hose as this is left unconnected when the backhoe is removed.

I have tried connecting both the yellow and blue to the red hose, but until I identify which one is the sump hose I am not sure I am doing the correct thing, and neither connection option seems to raise the 3pt hitch.

Can someone confirm if the hose that connects at the rear of the tractor just below the 3pt pivot shaft is the sump hose ? If so then it looks like my GC2610 has the hoses mis-coupled!

Thanks for the help in advance.

Update: According to Irving, (reliable source), blue to yellow, red gets plugged.

Glad mine only has two hoses.

On the GC 1700 blue and yellow connects to blue, red gets plugged. I would think the GC 2610 would be the same.

Thanks for the response. So on mine the blue and yellow are both male! The red is the female.
I think I need to know on those tractor that have 3 hoses where the hose that isn't connected to goes on the tractor, so that would be red on your tractor. I can't see on Irving's photo what the color of the hose is that connects to the tractor just below the 3pt pivot shaft.
I have attached a photo which shows where my red hose (female coupling) connects to the tractor just below the 3pt pivot shaft.

Hope this makes sense
Thanks

I just re-looked at Irving's photo it looks like his red hose is the same as mine and connects just below the 3pt pivot shaft. So my problem is two males !!
Just switched the ends of the two hoses and can now connect the blue to yellow - everything works
Must have been incorrectly assembled at factory

Well, I'm sure you know what you need to do. Switch one of the male ends with a female from the backhoe.

Yep, I switched the fittings on the tractor and the backhoe - all is good

Just saw this-- glad you got it figured out! On mine, that hose with the 90 degree end on it just below the 3PH arm is a female end, marked red, and just lays there when the BH is off. When BH is off, I have a piece of #10AWG wire that I have hooked to the seat frame at the back and use that hold the "red" hose suspended and up & out of the way.

I also have a piece of EMT to hold the 3PH arms out of the way when mowing, as those 3PH arms still need to move up & down when raising & lowering MMM. (Hopefully without cutting any hoses!)

Here's a couple pics of my set-up:

Thanks for the pics. i am up and running.

I note you have the 2360 snowblower. I am planning on purchasing one for next winter. Any advice? How easy is the install / removal?

Thanks

Not to speak for others.... ;)

Very easy in my eyes. 15-20 minutes to take off fel and put on QA and blower. Do you plan to take it off once it's on during the winter?
