Price Check GC2610 price check and general ???

Hi all, new to the forum and tractors in general.

I own 6 acres in Nova Scotia of which are roughly three acres pasture which I intend to mow two or three times a year. The rest of the time my horses will look after that. Roughly 1 acre is lawn around the houses and barn and the rest is mostly wooded. I plan to clean my ditches from now on myself, keep my gravel driveway, roughly 750 feet, in order and move some horse manure around.

I'm currently looking at a MF GC2610 and got the following quotation from my local MF dealer (Proudfoot Motors in New Glasgow). Local means roughly two hours drive away.

I have absolute no experience with such equipment and would like to know f.e. how easy it is to detach/attach the backhoe and FEL. And will a GC2610 will able to handle such a task? That bothers me most.

I'll try to answer some of your questions. The 2610 is a subcompact,that will help it get inside and around the stalls with the 48 inch bucket. I believe the backhoe digs down to 6 1/2 feet. It won't be the fastest machine for your land, just because of it's size,nothing against the machine,it is a fine piece. If you have the time it takes to do chores it should be a good machine. You should be ok with the loader as long as you have the backhoe or some ballast on back. The backhoe sits in a hook type arrangement and by tipping backhoe forward,it locks in with some pins. I had a 2310 ,which is a earlier version of the 2410 and 2610. The tractors weigh around 2600 lbs. Ground clearance has to be watched in wooded areas,the hydraulic filter is underneath,it does have a shield. Mine was very good on fuel. plowking

Well - I was going go start my own thread but . . . since the topic is at the top.

Also a first time tractor buyer looking for an "estate" tractor to do some minor landscaping, mowing, snowblowing and other "non-farm" chores around a 17 acre lot (mostly farm land leased to a local farmer).

so to OP - I know that markets vary but your price seems high - even with exchange rate for CAN$. The quote I got for just TLB + mower deck was $18900 and 0%/50months/no money down.

Now - I was thinking $22.1K was a little high for the package I'm looking at (without hijacking the thread - I'm comparing to a similarly equipped BX24 for $19.8K)

Don't know the game in Canada - these are NE Wisconsin prices.
