Hi All,

Long time listener, first time caller...

I just picked up a used grass catcher (GCK60-23BX) for my BX24. The manual is a little vauge and I had a few questions about set up.

1 - Is there a baffle required for the 60" deck. I did not receive the installation instructions for the boot kit, so I`m not sure if I`m missing a piece. The brackets are pretty striaght forward, so I`m all set there.

2- On the PTO shaft, is there suppose to be any type of lock to keep the yoke on the shaft. Any PTO shaft I have used in the past has a quick disconnect style or a sping loaded lock bar type retention device. The PTO yoke on this shaft has a hole drilled for the spring loaded lock bar, but it doesn't look like there was every one installed. I realize the shaft really can't come off because of the tight fit of the bagger, but I just want to be sure.

3- There is a 6" piece of hose that goes from the blower to the bags, this hose is in bad shape. Is this suppose to be a piece of vac hose or a formed elbow of sometype.

If anyone has some pictures of the unit it would be appreacated, they would be worth a 1000 words.

On my GCK60-23BX catcher;

1. My instruction manual for the boot kit only details the installation of the mounting points for the RCK decks. There is no mention of baffle plates and my RCK54-23BX deck does not have one.
2. There are no locks on my PTO shaft.
3. The connection between the blower and the catcher is a section of corrugated hose.

My catcher is in the barn and the lawn is still way too wet to even think about trying to obtain any installed pictures. I was a little shocked with the initial quoted price of a new catcher. Once I saw the catcher mounted on the tractor and started using it, I was very impressed and I think you also will enjoy your new addition.

Would anyone want to fax me a copy of the set up. I just pick up a used one and need to see how it set up and mounts on the tractor. If someone has one on disk or cd maybe you could email what I need.

I have bought the grass catcher for my BX24 as well. I hope to start installing this weekend. I couldn't believe how huge the box was that it came in. Then I opened it up and understood why. My dealer didn't have any to see when I ordered it. I had no idea what I was getting. So far just by the size I am impressed. Once you get yours working let us know how it does. I probably will not need to use if for a couple of weeks yet.
