G'day everyone... I am new to this Forum... I have a 150 acre property in Kilcoy Queensland Australia.. We have a Massey Ferguson 184-4 Loader with a few attachments, and and Iseki TL2800... Going to run a Fert/Spreader on the Iseki... can anyone tell me the PTO speed and gear ratio to run the spreader. Thought I would ask, instead of the trial and error method. TIA BoB

Welcome to TBN & the forum - wercs4me. I would take a stab at 540 rpm as a starter for the PTO. And I'd run the Iseki at a fairly slow speed. If you have access to an owners manual for the spreader - that might give you an idea of the land speed to get the correct application. Do you know the brand of spreader?

I'm going to guess.... A 6 spline pto = 540 rpm
A 21 spline = 1000 rpm...

Have you had any of the fire or flood troubles in that part of the country ??

Can't help you with the questions. As others have said, I'd assume 540 PTO speed. Ground speed, I have no idea.

Most fertilizer spreaders I’ve used including my lime/fertilizer spreader give a 40ft width spread at 540pto speed , then set your ground speed to the gear that gives you the rate per acre you want to apply. Any spreader I’ve used has a chart affixed to it that shows weight of material in pounds per cubic foot, gate opening in inches and speed to travel to achieve desired rate per acre.
