Tractor
Fiat/82-94
Good to join this community. I have read many helpful threads over the past years so I thought I should contribute if I can.
I live on the East coast of Australia where I farm beef cattle. Not a huge place - 300 acres keeps me busy enough though. My current tractor is a Fiat 82-94 4WD circa 2002 - used to have a JD 1610 but got rid it before it killed me.
Looks like I have finally done a head gasket on the Fiat - all the standard signs. Anyone out there played with the top end of a Fiat engine ?

Looking forward to a chat. Stay safe out there.

Jeff

G'day Cobber and welcome to TBN from Tassie.

Enjoy the site... from wherever on the East coast of the North Island you're from.

(St Helens is on the North East coast... does that count? :))

Welcome to TBN. Been all over your fine country except for a donut surround the middle Alice area and the NW. Even been to Tassie, twice. Lived and worked in Singapore. Easy stop to/from or from "home" there.

I took the head off a Fiat 124S sedan. Broke a valve spring. No big deal to it. An Alfa head gasket, however, wants no grease or anything on it. I called my Fiat the torch and hacksaw car because no bolt ever seemed to come unbolted. Had to be cut or hacksawed off. Head bolts were the exception.

:welcome: from central northern Alabama

Lot of small beef and horse operations in this area - that and cotton, corn, & cereal grains.

Thank you Wagtail for the reply. I guess Tassie is still part of Australia, even though most people never draw it on a map
I look forward to talking.
Regards,
Jeff

Been in quite a few parts of the US (various parts in almost all 50 US states), and can tell you there's lots of beautiful places to see from the deepest wildernesses to the highly developed urban areas. Just depends on what a person wants to see.
