Gear Oil Type for Tiller Attachement

/ Gear Oil Type for Tiller Attachement #11
Fill your PTO gear box to 1/4 to 1/2 inch on the dip stick. If you overfill you run the chance of blowing the seal on the seals on the gear box. There are two. That’s why it’s blowing out oil. You’re fortunate the vent is working. As mentioned these are low rpm and fairly low duty gears.
Same on the transmission gear box. Only probably use 1 liter max 1 1/2. The gears spread the lube. There’s a seal on the lower drive that takes a while to replace. Will require your tool assortment before it’s done.
Also on the tiller shaft grease zert. Only pump 3-4 pumps. You don’t want to break that seal as well. 80-90 is the lube to use.
