Gearbox for BobCat 72" rotary cutter

Hello,

I need gearbox for my BobCat 72" rotary cutter.
Dealer price for this part is $450 plus 6% tax.
I was trying to find replacement for less on eBay and still looking for that.
Maybe somebody knows other companies where I can buy this part.
Label on Gearbox: QMC part number 01-482NHG Ratio: 1:1.47.
It's my first post here, any help is appreciated.

Welcome Elena!

QMC lists that gearbox as an RC-33 model, with the 1:1.47 ratio. You don't necessarily have to buy a QMC gearbox for it, as the bolt hole spacing is generally common for modern gearboxes of this type. Omni Gear is probably the most common gearbox manufacturer you'll run into, and they make an RC-33 with the same ratio, as well as an RC-30 of the same ratio as well. The difference between 30 and 33 is how much power they can handle, but even the RC-30 can handle the PTO power of your Bobcat tractor (30hp). The RC-30 is listed as a 35-45hp gearbox. I put one on a 5' brush cutter I refurbished, and it handled the 39hp (PTO) just fine. I got mine from Ranch Rite Products, off an Ebay auction for $175. I bet you could call them, tell them what you're trying to replace, and they'll get you the appropriate box. Good luck!

Thank you for your help. I found Ranch Rite Products on eBay and tomorrow I'm going to call them. My BobCat CT 440 tractor has 41 hp and RC 30 with rate 30-40 hp maybe right gearbox for my rotary cutter.

Update:
bought OMNI RC-30 Gearbox part # 250001 on eBay for $174.50, fits to my BobCat 72" rotary cutter with PTO power 30 hp.
