Gearheads...Car Guys...Post your ride!

I know we have some car guys on this site; I've discussed the issue with at least a couple of you over the last few months. Maybe this will bring us all together and we can post some pictures, car show videos, links, etc. and get to know each other. Alas, having said that, I still don't know how to post pictures, but I intend to learn and post some of mine soon. In the meantime, I'm asking Randy (Toppop) to post pics of my '59 Impala and my '60 Impala.

The '59 has been in the family since new; it has about 57,000 actual miles and other than mechanical/engine work, it is entirely original. I bought it from my aunt in 1999; it was featured in the April 2001 issue of "Chevy Times".

The '60 we have had since about 2006; it's what we drive most of the time. It's an original car also, with one repaint and an aftermarket AC.

Anyway, let's see where this takes us; I would like to see what some of you folks have hidden away in your garages and barns.

Have not seen in a while, but there used to be three or four seen frequently in Placerville. Always liked the red one I used to see.

Been trying to talk my Dad out of this. A friend had built it 35 years ago. Could use pain, and freshen the rings/bearings.


It has a balanced 360, 401 heads, cam, intake, carb, headers, reverse valve body manual shift 727, 3.55 posi. Only bummer, hood was cut and hokey hood scoop put on cause intake/Holley 4bbl was tall.

Second picture is latest ride; used XJ8 got a week ago. Has some miles on it, couple dings, but looks great from 15'.


Third picture is E225, one of my favorite rides. Late Ford F8xxx series. Cat3208T. Pass thru Troutsqueezer's area now and then(he is actually in my fire district) I think he lives close to our unstaffed St73
