Gempler\'s Bug Buttons
Has anyone else tried these things out?
Little button you pin on you, and it is charged with citronella and some other natural oils, and is supposed to keep the bugs away for 50 hours or so.
I bought a box of them, and last weekend was wearing my first one, sitting on the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://www.hup.org/clarksburg/YardNE.jpg>front porch</A>, enjoying an adult beverage and a cigar, when this big old fly lands on my shirt about 3 inches away from the bug button. I kind of pushed the button over towards him, and actually got it within a half inch; he didn't budge! Maybe the thing anaesthetized him, I'm not sure, but I am having my doubts about the effectiveness of these things.
