I was looking earlier! I have a 5 state move in the next year or so, once a new plot of land is secured, I wouldn't scoff at a green big brother to the Kubotas, believe me!

Great video, thanks!!!! I had an Oliver 1550. That was a GREAT tractor!!! I'm sorry I sold it. It ran great, and everything worked fine, but I really needed a cab tractor for the winter, and I didn't need 4 tractors, so I sold Ollie. I wish I had that tractor back.

I guess they quit making M&M and Oliver back in the 1970's? I haven't been into big tractors since I quit doing farm and construction work back in the late 50's, but I still have some fond memories of my Grand dad's old 1942 U model M&M. As I recall, it had the wide wheels in front, as did most all tractors used in wheat country...like this:
Turned a lot of wheat stubble with that old work horse. Only problem I ever had was you had to be alert when plowing in low, drainage areas, the old girl would rare up on you when you reached the low areas and started back up grade. When that old plow sank down to the beams, the front would come up off the ground! Scary, but the hand clutch was a life saver. Had that happen twice, two different tractors (but like models), two different places. I guess they never heard of wheel weights back then?
