I just signed up for this forum. Had tried to access it before, but did not realize that sign up was necessary.
In 1973 I was living in Minnesota, and bought a 1951 Ford 8N. A great little tractor! I no longer live in MN, but I still do have the 8N, and it is in excellent condition (rebuilt engine in 1975)
In 1987 I bought a 1970 Ford 3400 TLB from a cemetery. It is gas, but runs like a clock, and today it has 1850 hours. I still have the 3400 too.
Last month I bought a 1988 Ford 1920 4x4 with FEL, and 1055 hours. I think I paid a bit too much at $9500, but the low hours sucked me it.
The tractor is in very good, to excellent condition, so I do think I will be happy with it, though I may have paid $1000 too much.
I now live in Eastern Massachusetts, and these compact tractors in any reasonable condition are rather difficult to find.
I bought this one in Pennsylvania, and had it trucked to MA.
Next summer I will take it to Nova Scotia, to use at my summer place there.
