Getting ready to customize a brush spot sprayer.. Advice please

I picked up the deal of the year.. Tractor supply 65 gal tractor mounted sprayer. It is missing the boomless nozzles and pump. Only paid $100. Buts it痴 perfect for my plans since I already have a pto pump and don稚 plan on using the boomless part..
I知 in south texas and planning on spot spraying brush. Water, Remedy, and Diesel... My plan is to setup a small boom and nozzle off my front bucket where I can see it. Basically drive up to a brush plant, spray for 3 sec and move on... In order to make this work, I need a 12 volt solenoid for water/chemicals in order to control the flow to my nozzle. What are suggestions or ideas. Where to buy solenoid.

I tried that, a watering wand on the front bucket aimed by steering the tractor. It didn't work well. A light wand in hand, that I can aim as the tractor rolls to a stop, improved productivity immensely.

And this wouldn't be relevant to spraying with a slender hand-held wand - but for watering, I added a lawn anti-siphon valve (it lets in air when it senses a vacuum, ie siphon) at the highest point in the hose from the tank. So the hose drains to weightless when I switched off the pump. This made the 1.25" tubing long wand light enough to not be tiring to lift like it would be if it were still filled with water. Photo

Do you need the power of a pto pump for spot spraying? A 12 volt pump that you switch on to spray might be simpler. On the other hand you might need the pressure of a pto pump to atomize the spray.

Best thing I did on my small sprayer (10 gallon - only have 5 acres) was to put a 50ft hose on it... I use it "walk around", once I have hit everything in range I move tractor.... Or I shoot from tractor seat... Depends on location of stuff I am spraying...

Where to buy a valve? :confused3: That's tough to answer definitively but I might suggest your favorite auto parts house. Ask them for a 12 volt furl shut-off valve.

Agri supply has any of the sprayer parts you need. Here’s a 3 way valve but they have may others.
