I just went over my 1st 50 hours yesterday, I knew I was due for service soon so I called my Branson dealer last Friday to have him lay out all the filters fluid I need to do the job.

I thought I would get everything from dealer at least the 1st time to make sure there would not be any warranty issues down the road.

He told me he was out of the Branson Hydro fluid and wanted me to wait till this week and he would have more in. Said he had the other I could use; but he would rather see me change out with the Branson.

I really dont think it would have made any difference I think the difference will be when I pay for ther fluid..lol

What are you guys using???

Thanks Patrick

I buy everything straight form the dealer. Doesn't matter to me if I have 50 or 1000hrs. If that's what they are using or recommend that's what I'll buy. Do the same for my truck and jeep. Have never had any major problems. You get what to pay for in my opinion anyway.

I also took my dealers recommendation. He recommended tractor hydraulic fluid. The brand name eludes me now (it wasn't Branson). I'd have to go check in the shop. I don't think there would be alot of difference though.

I did make sure to get the Branson filters.

Yes on the Branson filters and no on the hydraulic oil. Some have had problems with generic filters and posted here. The savings aren't enough to take a chance the way I see it.
I went with Cheveron Hyd oil as reccomended. A name brand oil should be as good or better than OEM. A name brand is probably what dealer is ordering in.

The hydro fluid my dealer sold me was "Pro Guard". I did my first service about 15 hours back.

Thanks guys I will definatly stay with the factory filters and I will let you know what the Branson fluid cost me.

I got 1 jug of Branson Hyd Fluid (1 Gal ?), Branson Oil (Enough for change, 2 jugs?), and a Branson Oil Filter. This cost me $96.56. I think I will use the Chevron Hyd Fluid as it is rec in the Branson manual and a high quality diesel oil meets all the requirements. I think I will continue to use the Branson filters though.

Boy, you got off lucky devlin57. Between the tranny and the front end I had to by 11 gallons of hydro fluid for my 3510h. Can't remember what my exact bill was, will check when I get home.

No that was not for a total change of Hyd oil. I just topped it off after changing the Hyd filter. That was for only one 1 gal or 1.5 gal jug... I noticed you have the 3510h, I have the 3510i and wish I had gotten the hydrostatic instead. Mine is used for construction around the cabin I am building on a hill and do a lot of forward and back.
