Hello all. I purchased a new XR4145C back in March. Love the tractor so far. Have a few quirks and problems here and there, but nothing major. When the dealer dropped it off, he did the walk around with me. He noticed there was not a 3 point control lever outside the cab at the back. The sicker is there, but the lever is missing. Apparently, the manufacture forgot to add it! The dealer said he would order one when he got back to the office, and that it will probably take a few weeks. He wanted me to bring him in the tractor when it came in so his mechanics could install it.
Being a handy person myself, I said if it is all the same, I can simply do the install in my shop. After all, I am a mechanic, adding this lever should be rather simple. He agreed and said he would call when it came in.
A few weeks pass and no call, so I called him, thinking that maybe he forgot. He said it should be a few more weeks. This has gone on and on. He finally told me that they are back ordered from the manufacture which is why this was probably skipped when my tractor was built.
I just got off the phone with him again. He said it is still back ordered. Now, for something that comes standard on these tractors, seems like they sure do run out quickly. I am not sure if this guy is blowing smoke or there really is a problem with this part. Either way, I would love to install said lever. It is a pain in the arse when hooking up or disconnecting the 3 point with the lever inside the cab.
My thought was to first reach out here for advice, contact another dealer (none in my area) and see if they would ship me the part (at this point, I would pay for it), or contact LS directly and see about getting it directly from LS, which I don't know how to do.
