Can anyone help with the wiring on a JD 214 ? The solenoid , I thought was bad so I replaced it. This didn't help. I switched the wires back and forth but to no avail. The solenoid was not identical to the old one, but has 2 large posts for batt. & starter connection , & 1 post for the plug on wire. Can anyone help ?:

im assuming that you have a fully charged battery. if so check for power at the small wire, you should have power with the ignition switch in the start position.if there is no power suspect faulty ignition switch or check to make sure the pto switch is off. if power is present check for power at the starter. you should have power with ignition switch in start position. if there is power, suspect faulty starter. if no power than you probly got a dud solinoid.
