I finally went and trailered my P 7010C home today. Got the new seat suspension on, fixed the FEL coupling leak and got the new drawbar assembly on. Also made it home without blowing out a tire like I did taking it over.
Truck got 18 MPG pulling the empty trailer but only 10 MPG coming back with the load.
That 7010 makes that 20 foot trailer look small. 007.jpg

Yep, it does look like it takes up every inch of that trailer. Notice you've got that bucket curled up as well. Glad you got everything taken care of.

Eighteen MPG with an empty trailer is good.

I dont think 10 MPG towing that kind of load with the amount of wind resistance is too bad either. I was facing a 30MPH head wind for 30 miles of the 60 mile trip and a crosswind on I-30. I kept it at 50 MPH for most part, going to 55 on I-30. I didnt realize the wind was blowing that strong till we got out of the truck at home. Empty trailer speed was 70-75 on interstate an 55-65 on the backroad. That trailer pulls so light it is easy to forget that it is back there. When I first got it, I headed from Montgomery, Tx (north of Houston) and travelling right thru Houston on I-45 S to I-10E an traffic was really moving. I went thru there at 75 (85 some times) but it was 5:30am with no problems at all, not a cop in sight either.

I forgot to mention that mytruck has a little 5.3L gasoline engine with 4 speed automatic. Pulled that load without a problem except when going up some of these Ark. hills it would kick into second gear to pull them. Flatground it would stay in OD even with the trailer tow button pushed. I thought those buttons were supposed to keep it from shifting to OD or something. I cant see that mine does anything different whether on or off.

That is one nice trailer Gary. I'm hoping to get one for my 7010 too. I have some yard work to do at my camp and it's too far to drive the tractor to. I've been away in the Arctic for some time anxious to get home and start a project in my new shop. I think a trailer will be my first project in new shop.

By the way, how's your tractor working? I did the 300 hr service on my 7010 in Sept. It's awaiting my return with the snowblower already on. I haven't had any issues and the dealer is still selling lots of LS products.

No problem other than the seat and drawbar breaking and was all replaced under warranty. The intermitent problem with the tach seems to be cured with all the ty-rap on the quick connect wiring. It hasnt stopped working in months, although I dont use it much anymore since I got the B26 TLB. Yesterday was first time in about 3 weeks that I cranked it up to move several bucket loads of rock to a creek crossing. Most of my current task only require the smaller tractor which I am currently have some issues with on the hydraulics(see my post under Kubota owning and operatings with backhoe working slow) Got to figure that one out soon. Thankfully I have the "no problem" LS as backup to the Kubota.
As for the trailer, it is from Trout Trailers in Conroe, Tx. (Houston area) The are built somewhere locally for Trout (no brand name other than Trout) I paid $3105 IIRC (5 for temp tag) out the door for it with twin 6k axles with electric brakes on both wheels. I really like the heavy duty jack stand and the ramps load my tractor without a bit of flex unlike some of the utility trailers/light car haulers with light weight ramps that bend under a 3500# load

If you have as much fun as we have since our new 3033 came for Christmas two weeks ago, then you'll have a great Christmas and a very happy New Year.

We have moved tons and tons of dirt to form a pad for three 20 ft shipping containers, and then our little "Tractor that can" pulled and shoved the containers into position.

Congratulations and Merry Christmas, Ho Ho Ho!

Yeah well Merry Christmas and happy holidays to everyone and especially those who get to spend them with their tractors. Mine are setting all cold and lonesome 400 miles away with nothing to keep them company but my chickens and 100+ pound German Shepherd dogs to keep all the rif-raf away, that and my watchful neighbors. Been down in the Big H, Texas for over a week and sure cant wait to get home.
