Hi All,
Looks like a have a bit of a problem on my hands. This week I just got my new JM254, and shes a beauty. Now the problem is that I have all the original low quaility gear oil drained out, but now I can't find one darn store in the entire city that has a gear oil that is GL-4 or "Yellow Meal" compatible. I've read that most 200 series Jinma's have brass/bronze/copper inside the trans. So what are my options? The only store that does carry GL-4 wants $140 for 12x1 80w90 liter bottles, and NAPA will not get Penzoil GL4 80w90 until 2 weeks time. What should I do? I have over 40 liters of 15w40, use that and something like lucas oil sabilizer till the 25hr mark? I've also herd to use 30wt oil? Or chance using GL5 with Extra Pressure additives 80w90 gear oil that is readily available?
It would be nice to get her out of the garage this weekend and start breakin er in for work on monday..
