I have experienced some hairy landings, but nothing like those. There was likely some screaming and praying going on during those takeoffs and landings.
The builders of that runway were pretty shoddy in that they could have levelled the runway a bit from that rollercoaster layout that they left. That didn't make it any easier on the pilots fighting the crosswind AND the rising and falling of the runway.

I was thinking the same thing. Can you imagine how "busy" those pilots were trying to keep up with the wind shear and the changing elevation all at the same time. What is amazing is how well they did in keeping up with all of that.

I thought runways were built parallel with prevailing wind directions ?

They are, but Mother Nature doesn't always provide winds from prevailing directions. As at my home, prevailing winds are North /South but during storms, the winds come from West. Airline schedules don't allow for them to wait till there is prevailing winds. All pilots have to train for crosswind takeoff and landings, even private pilot trainees have to do crosswind take-off and landing practice but usually not in such severe circumstances as in the video.

It just seemed to me that that particular airport could use a runway perpendicular to the one they were using...the number of events seemed to be substantial enough to warrant one...
All the aircraft seemed to be about the same size...no big jumbos etc...

Wow, it did not look too bad until you see the wings moving. I would have kissed the ground after getting off some of those landings.
