Glad To See Mud!

I never thought I'd say I am glad to see mud, but I am. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif We finally received some decent rain over the past few days and as dry as it's been for the past 2 months, it was a very welcome sight. Might even make digging my post holes a bit easier! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

The same just north of you in New York, we got RAIN. In our area about two inches fell in the last week. About an inch and a half was a slow steady rain that soaked in great. I have been hauling water for fifty trees we planted in the spring, so this rain will give me a little break.

My new lawn that turned brown is actually green up. I thought that it was DOA.

Hi Mike,

Dog Gone it!!! You must have been luckier then the Mid-state Area. We got a few storms, but it was too fast to soak in. We are in big, big trouble if we don't get rain soon. Glad to hear we can borrow some from our neighbors to the south. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Yes we got 67mm too which also, like Tim, saved me a lot of watering !!

I'm with you! It was starting to look like the Oklahoma Dust Bowl around here.

We stopped at Valhalla this weekend after last week's storms, and lo' and behold, there was this odd color to things. We had to shake our memories a little, but eventually it came to us ... GREEN! Yes, that's it, green! There was more wildlife activity, the pond was higher, and in general, beauty had been restored. Not to mention growth that will need to be mowed this weekend. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Is there some mud? Yes. Is it worth it? Heck yes!
