When I try to start my Nor Trac 254, and I turn the key to the "heat"/glo-plug setting, I notice the amp meter no longer jumps-- in fact, it doesn't move at all. Since it now take forever to start the tractor when it's cold, is there something wrong with the glo-plugs? If they are the problem, how do I go about fixing them?

Is the 30 amp fuse good?

If your other electrical devices work, it's not the system fuse. Some Jinmas (NorTrac is a rebadged Jinma) have a separate fuse for the glow-plugs. I think it's labeled HEAT or PRE-HEAT

if you have any electrical savvy it is a pretty easy check. Use a meter of 12V test lamp and while someone is holding the key probe the metal bus bar that connects the injectors together and see if voltage is present. If it is, check you plugs for open condition. If it is not, back track to see where you loss of 12v is. But like others said, start with the fuse
