It would be very interesting to see how many sheep farmers are on these forums? I was reading in the Lancaster Farm Paper about China instituating a 37% tariff on sheep hides. This is part of global free trade? Why can't we do the same on all goods imported from China? I also have often wondered why some people compare American workers with workers from China and other slave labor countries? Wouldn't it be just as fair to compare managment or CEO's? Their (China) management and CEO'S make thousands in yearly salary, our's , hundreds of millions in salary and bonus and perks per year. I think this comparison is just as fair this way as the other don't you? The United States is now owned by China, once they get pi--ed off and call the debt we owe them it's bankrupt city or war. In retrospect, with our current situation I don't think war with China is a real good idea.

Trying to stir the pot, are we?

Why not just read the 13 pages of this thread and see what kind of comments you'd get on this post.

Mr. Jackson , sir I was in the mist of posting in the very thread you refer to, and the thread was closed. This is my opinion, what is your? What do you think will happen with all the apple growers? (very large importation of apples coming) Maybe the goverment feels the farmers are the last ones left to destroy. Guess it all makes for a better Wal-Mart. Please give us your thoughts.

Even though the thread is closed, there's a diversity of opinion. Go through that thread, and I reckon you'll figure mine out quickly.
These threads go south pretty quickly, BTW. I was amazed that one lasted as long as it did.

I think you will find only select items have any tariff coming into the USA,China also hold 1 Billion in Fed T Bonds. Everytime we buy a product from there we are just arming them a little more.

The other thread Roy referred to was closed because it drifted into a trade discussion. This thread is starting with a trade discussion. Closed.
