glow ignition question

My Allmand 8435 HST has glow ignition time set for ~10 seconds. Instruction manual says that once it is triggered, wait until the light goes off and turn on the engine. My question is this: What happens if I turn on the engine before the light goes off? Will I be ruining something? Or am I just not taking the full advantage of glow ignition? Thanks.

the glow plugs will always run the same amount of time even if you start the engine . If the engine has been run ,and is still warm you can turn the key to the right to start without glowing. Nothing will be damaged if you do anway. happy tractoring.
